HTML Tags Appearing in Course Description when Special Characters are used in Search String

edited Aug 22, 2018 6:33PM in Taleo Learn 2 comments

Summary

When a special character such as ()#!-, etc. is used in the search string using the Search Widget, instead of displaying the formatted html in the description, users see the html tags.

First question... Is anyone using the Search and Catalog Widgets in the LearnCenter Design Pages and using HTML tags in your Enrollment Descriptions? Just want to make sure we aren't the only ones attempting this.
Has anyone seen this behavior? When a user enters a special character in the search string, the HTML breaks, resulting in the html tags appearing in the description instead of the formatted text.  We have a SR that has been open for quite a while while the tech researches the issue on the Oracle side. Here some screen shots of the behavior.
