Product Notice: (Eloqua) App Developer Framework – New retry strategy for Notification URL calls

Overview

With the arrival of Eloqua release 20C (Aug 2020), Eloqua will retry the Notification URL call over approximately an eight-hour period of time with a backoff strategy.

What’s changing?

Currently for calls to the App’s Notification URL, if we do not receive a response within 100 seconds, we retry nearly right away, a total of five times, then set those records to error if all five attempts fail. This could all happen in minutes.

With 20C, Eloqua will retry the Notification URL call over approximately an eight-hour period of time with a backoff strategy of the time between calls doubling after each call.
