Form Processing Steps - CDO conditions

Hi, I have been struggling to make Processing Steps excecute based on CDO record value conditions. This is a functionality when navigating to a processing step condition setup menu, however, I never really got it working the way I would like to.

Is there any KB article or documentation how this should work? Or maybe someone here has a working use case?

Whatever I try to do, it does seem to ignore the conditions. In my test setup I only make use of 1 processing step, so I do not use too many in one form.
