How to Backorder/Cancel Short Picked Line

Hi Team,

We are trying to implement the below Scenario:

  1. Create SO with 10 qty
  2. Create Pick Wave
  3. Requirement is to only Confirm Pick slip for 6 qty ( i.e. only move 6 qty from Source Subinventory to Staging Subinventory) , the remaining 4 qty should get backordered automatically or system should allow us to backorder.

Currently, when I am confirming pick slip for 6 qty, the shipment line splits in 2 lines, with 6 qty line going in Staged status and 4 qty line in Ready to Release Status, and further I am not able to Backorder the Ready to Release Line.
