Expenditure Org stamped to project cost from timecard

Can someone tell me, if an employee moves department mid-week, should we expect to see their timecard entries (created and submitted after the change) in PFM reflecting the variation of expenditure org by expenditure item date?

Example, we have a timecard week from Monday-Sunday. On Tuesday 4th July, we have an HR assignment update in place for a person which moves them to a different department and job code. The person has submitted a timecard for the week commencing 3rd July on the 31st July and this has been imported to PFM. In PFM we see the Expenditure Organization stamped with the dept they belonged to on the 3rd July for all 5 entries pertaining to the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th July, but the job code correctly reflects the new assignment from the 4th
