Unable to change the Material status of Sub inventory

Summary:

Requirement is to change Material status from 'Active' to 'Non reservable', while performing this activity we are facing below issue.

Error :: You cannot edit the material status because there are reservations against the subinventory. (INV-2415689).

We see that there are no reservation existing at the sub inventory level but there are few reservations(1600+) at organization level, but as per our business requirement we should not be clearing these reservations .

We need an alternative solution to change the Material status from 'Active' to 'Non reservable' at sub inventory.
