Sequential Numbering for Natural Account Value Set values

Summary:

We have a business requirement to enable sequential numbering (auto generated sequence) for Natural Account Value Set values. This should be based on the account type, so that system should allow a particular series of accounts to be used for "assets" "liabilities", etc. (eg: 1 series for assets, and 2 series for liabilities)

Please advise how this requirement can be achieved.
