New lease feature in 23C: property information not available on Expense Leases?

edited Aug 14, 2023 9:49PM in Lease Accounting 3 comments

Summary:

Is the new feature for defining properties and attaching these to lease assets only available for Revenue leases? The release notes do not suggest this but I have enabled the feature and successfully loaded property data, but the property fields are not available on my expense lease. Also see the Using Lease Accounting notes, where in the Create Assets section the property fields appear only under the Revenue Lease section: https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/financials/23c/faula/create-assets.html#s20074291.

Content (required):

LEASE PROPERTY DEFINITION USING FILE-BASED DATA IMPORT

Define and upload property information using File-Based Data Import. Companies typically have many leases that include properties such as buildings, floors, and offices. Including the specific property information on the lease and related lease invoices reduces the time to pay the lease invoices. Lease accountants reduce their reconciliation and period close time by knowing which expenses are associated with which specific property.

Howdy, Stranger!
