PositionCode, Reason: EPMFDM-ERROR: {Month#Year} notation for Start/End period is not supported for Dimensions load

Pipeline has substitution variables listed on Variables page:

$IMPORTMODE set as &CZR_FTE_Period#&CZR_FTE_Year

$EXPORTMODE set as &CZR_FTE_Period#&CZR_FTE_Year

These variables work for data load but not for metadata load. Is there a way to use subvars with metadata loade?
