How to remove "to date" on work email?

Summary: A pay clerk made an entry in the "to date" field when adding a pending worker which was the employees date of hire. Need to remove the date or add new work email without "to-date"


Content (required): Now we don't see the email communication on the Person Management Record without going into "edit". Is there a way to fix this by removing the date field entry. I can't seem to edit the record, cant add a new one, and played with it in the security console and still no luck. Doc states you can create a second work email, but system not allowing it. I don't know what it means to add a lookup value to the EMAIL_Type?
