Redwood Next Gen Human Resources Help Desk Roles

Hi Experts,
I need some advice. I have copied the Next Gen Human Resources Help Desk Roles for Agent, User, Manager and Administrator.
The only role that allows the help desk agent to view and reply to conversations and messages is the Next Gen Human Resources Administrator role.
How can the help desk agents access the messages section if they don't have the Next Gen Human Resources Adminstrator role?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
