Absence calendar invite (.ics) from Fusion shows as Free and not as Busy or Out of Office

Summary: When an employee applies for PTO in Oracle Fusion Absence Management, a notification is also sent to employee with a .ics file as attachment. Once the employee accepts the inivte it gets added to the calendar but still shows as "Free" instead of showing as "Busy" or "Out of office". If this is by design then i wanted to understand the reason for the same.
