While creating change order via API, system is sending FYI notifiation to requester or buyer

Hello Experts,

We need to update some attributes on PO Line and we are using API for the same but this process is creating a change order and submitting it. This is also triggering emails to requester or buyer.

For example users received email with subject: FYI: Document (Buyer Change Order) 300xxxxxx Changed )

I'd like to know is there a flag or setting to stop such notification where CO is triggered via API?
