Need details on the 23C feature Work Shifts and Pattern

Summary:

Hi Experts,

We have this new feature in 23C Core HR 'SHIFTS AND WORK PATTERNS FOR WORKFORCE SCHEDULING'.

As I read through the feature, it says we can create Work Shifts and patterns and attach it to the employee.

But my question is, we already have this Work pattern and Shifts configured in Setup and Maintenance -> Work Workday Pattern/ Work Shifts. How is this feature different from that?
