Balance Accounting Class cannot manually reverse. Any documentation for full Accounting Class？

We noticed subledger journals in the "Balance" Type cannot be reversed manually. May I know the reason behind this?

May I know the impact if I change the Account Class in Journal Line Rule from "Balance" to "Accrual"?

And is it possible to create new accounting class?
