As per the oracle documentation the purpose of 'Release Sequence Rule' is:

Release sequence rule enables you to specify the order in which the picking lines are pick released to inventory

and the Pick Wave Release is used for:

Pick wave release rule defines the criteria to determine the order lines to select for pick release and how they need to be processed.


Now my question is when we specify a criteria in Pick Wave release rule that means when we run the pick wave release rule, all the lines which satisfy the selection criteria will be pick released. Now what will the Release sequence Rule will do in this case, since we are already specifying the criteria in the pick wave release rule that means we want all the line which satisfy the criteria to be pick released? So what would be the role of release sequence in this case?
