Impact of adding 'Promote' Process flow in 'Change Assignment' Process flow

We have requirement to include promotions in the Change Assignment quick action and Hide 'Promote Process flow. We can add Action 'Promote with Action Type' Change employment', But we would like to know if any impact if we make this change.
