How to trim a filed value in a web report based on a delimiter?

Summary:

We have an inventory attribute value which has 3 values, Attribute5^Attribute6^Attribute7 delimited with ^. Attribute5, 6,&7 have dynamic values. Sometimes Attribute6 may have 10 characters and sometimes it may hold only 2 characters. How to fetch only Attribute6 out of the entire string(Attribute5^Attribute6^Attribute7)?
