Can we create alert for descriptive flex field in Health and Safety Module

Summary:

I created a DFF field which allows Person LOV. I would like to send notification to person captured in that Person LOV. Do we have such mechanism to send notification to Custom Person LOV.

Example: I created a DFF Witness 1 which is Person LOV. Say if I select a person and submit transaction. It should notify associated person in the Witness 1 field.
