Additional text member in a dimension reflect as read only after executing database refresh

Summary:

We have a requirements in planning to add additional columns named "Quantity" and "Particulars" in order to get the justification of the amount the user entered. I added Quantity(text) in period dimension and performed a refresh database. Checking the new member in Expense it is showing but as read only.
