what are the basis of generating forecast based on consumption history in replenishment planning

we need to understand how consumption history based forecast is being generated and how the consumption history is being captured or fed to the engine in the replenishment planning

we know that Forecast Consumption is one of the forecasting profiles available within a replenishment plan we just need to understand what are the transaction types considered in this consumption history, WIP issue for Maintenance Work Order? Miscellaneous Transactions? Physical Count Transaction? or how the system is capturing those consumption and do we need to upload this consumption history via FBDI or system is automatically capturing them
