We have a requirement to limit the arrears 4 times of the current deduction

Summary:

We have created a deduction element with - 'Do not take partial deduction, place all in arrears'.

If an employee goes on long term leave (for 8 Pay Periods) and comes back, then max deduction along with arrears we want to collect is (Current period + 3 previous periods), i.e, if deduction is $100, max deduction we want to collect is $400.

We have customized the formula to restrict the max amount to be collected.

But we also need to consider, when employees comes back from long term leave and if the employee have enough earnings to collect current period deductions (excluding arrears), then we would like the system to collect the current deduction amount and current arrears should remain same.

Howdy, Stranger!
