FCC Slit Ownership Scenario not generating expected results

edited Sep 14, 2023 5:36PM in Financial Consolidation and Close 1 comment

Summary: FCCS Ownership management - Combined ownership at Group Level

Content (required): With following entity hierarchy the ABC combined ownership for C is 100% and should be consolidated there with subsidiary method. C should be consolidated to CD using equity method as it is owned at 40%.

Top

 |-ABC

   |___A

   |  |__B

   |  |__C (60% Own, Subsidiary Method, PCON=100, POWN=60, PMIN=40)

   |___CD

     |__D

     |__C (40% Own, Equity Method, PCON=0, POWN=40, PMIN=0)

We built the entity hierarchy to FCCS ownership management and simulated the case, but 'C' consolidation method change due to combined ownership was not correctly handled when consolidated to ABC.

FCC Results: MI/NCI getting generated for 40% at ABC level with Investments getting revalued based on Equity methods applied at CD level.

Howdy, Stranger!
