Want to offer a runtime prompt that is optional for users to populate

Content (required):

Have a cube with a large number of dimensions. The main rule takes a long to time to run on all totals. Would like to give the users the option to enter restricted members on some dimensions but not necessarily all. Is there a way to make a runtime prompt optional? These are groovy rules that can handle null values.
