Position Synchronization Configuration Update

Switch from "Use Position Manager" to "Use HCM Position Hierarchy"

Hi ,

Is it possible to switch from "Use Position Manager" to "Use HCM Position Hierarchy" under Position Synchronization Configuration at enterprise level.

If we try to do this change (both ways - update with new date or correct with existing date) we are getting below error.

"You can't deselect using the HCM Position Hierarchy because the line manager is synced from the position hierarchy. (PER-1531935)"

Note:-

1) Assignment details are already loaded for employees.

2) There is support doc available for this error but comment in it is not providing solution to this issue. It is not mentioned here that whether this config change is Supported / Not supported.
