How to create a historical report with actions reasons in OTBI?

Summary: How to create a historical report listing all actions/reasons since the hire date including future dated action reasons/

Content (required):

I'm using Worker Assignment Event Real Time and have Person Number, Action Code, Action Name, Action Start Date in a simple report, but the action start date shows incorrectly all show as either 1/1/1951 or 1/1/1900 which both are wrong, I would expect to see the hire date, transfer date, termination date etc. of the action instead of these default dates.

I found the solution:

I figured out myself how to get the correct Action/Reasons dates reflected in the report, instead of using the action and reason dates which are apparently the validity periods of the action and reasons one have to use the assignment event effective date, when doing so, the correct dates are reflected in the report :-).
