Manage subinventories and locators FSM Import- Question on ZIP folder

Summary:

When using the FSM import functionality the ZIP folder being imported into Oracle needs to be the same ZIP folder exported from Oracle. Is this a firm restriction and are there ways around this limitation?

Content (required):

Our Transfer Order generation process works based on item min-max setups at the subinventory level. To enable this, item subinventory setups are required and as we know this would be a tedious manual process as it applies to all newly created items.

In order to make the process more efficient and less manual, we are developing a bot for loading the min-max levels for any newly created items. Oracle's recommended approach for using FSM import functionality is: to export the FSM setups in ZIP folder format, update the INV_ITEM_SUBINVENTORY file (replace the file in the ZIP folder) and then import the file. This approach works when attempting manually.
