User preference format for date & number

Summary:

Hi All,

I have a use case where user wants to save their date & number preference from VBCS UI in ATP database. Once they save their preference, next time they log into VBCS UI, date and number should be displayed in the format they had saved earlier.

Any idea how to implement this use case. Any sample app where I read the format from some variable and set it on page load
