Engineering Change Order for Existing items in PIM

Hi


Need to use Engineering Change Order to implements product improvements for existing items which were created in PIM.

I understand, it is not possible as the items were created directly in PIM with engineering flag as NO. Is there any workaround possible as we have thousand of such items for which we want to use ECO.
