Is it possible to use a dependent DFF value set as a source in the project accounting mapping set?

Summary:

There is a case where I have created a DFF that has a value set with its validation type dependent on another VS. However, when I received a request in which this dependent value set is intended to be used as a source for a specific mapping set, I couldn't find the value set as it has not been created at all. Meanwhile, the rest of the independent value sets could be selected. Is there a way to include a dependent value set in any necessary mapping set? Please advise.
