Assigning employee as department manager - employee not found in search

Hello,

we are struggling with assigning a future employee (transformed pending worker) as a department manager (department exists since system start date). The future worker starts on the 12th of December and we would like to set this person as the department manager now, but we cannot find the person in the search box when edititing the department.
