how often 'process events' process should be processed ?

Summary:

in 23D there is a new functionality to reevaluate absence whenever there is a work pattern/schedule changes.

it uses the absence events functionality to achieve this. we are able to successfully use the functionality however we would like to know how often this process should be scheduled ?
