Establish an approval workflow following the insertion of quality results.

Summary:

Hello! Our client has requested that we assess the quality of manufacturing work orders. If the quality is satisfactory (passes), an approval process will kick in automatically once the results are added, and the work order will be marked as completed automatically after the approval workflow. However, if the quality falls short (fails), a new work order will be generated automatically

Is it feasible to achieve this through an API and define action rule (Raise event), or are there established workarounds? The only standardized approach seems to involve action rules to notify the users and then they will manually apply the requirements
