Following guidance in Oracle Note 2710785.1. Have created a forecasting tree and attached to the forecast profile the plan is using. The definitions table that the profile is using has only Item in the Product Dimension and Organization in the Organization dimension. There is no second level in either Product or Organization dimensions. The plan is run. I have a table created that shows the forecast level used for Shipments Forecast. The Measure named “Shipments Forecasting Levels” shows 2 for some organization item combinations.

Note 2710785.1 details the following for how to interpret the data in “Shipments Forecasting Levels”: “Using this forecast level number information along with the forecasting tree definition, identify whether the combinations are getting forecasted at Item and Organization (Level 1) or Product Category and Organizations (Level 2) or a higher level in the forecasting tree”.
