Summary:

We have Maintenance Work Orders attached to Projects and Budgetary Control turned on for Projects. Unfortunately the Requisitions created from Work Orders do not get funds checked on creation as Obligations like direct Project Requisitions do. However, we did expect that the receipt transactions against these POs would be included as Actual costs for Budgetary control as per Oracle documentation however Oracle support tell us this is not so.

The costs are included in the project balances when you run reports and dashboards. We are looking for a palatable workaround to get these costs included in Budgetary control on the Projects so that we are accurately controlling our project spend. Not all users are able to check the project balances before they create requisitions and it is not palatable that they do (we raise many requsitions by lots of different people on the project and we are expecting project budget control to notify users when budget limits are reached)

Howdy, Stranger!
