Internal Picking Orders

We are trying to understand how the Internal Picking Orders gets generated. From a previous Oracle Document, this was the answer:

“Internal Pick Orders are system generated when you perform one of these operations. Putaway, Replenishment or Waves templates that use distribution(put to store) flow.”

However, we would like more information's.

Also, is it possible to delete that functionality? As is allocates inventory unnecessarily.
