Issue with line manager dashboard

Hello experts,
in all delivered dashboards, in my case compensation plan, line manager can look for direct reports manager only but not the indirect one in the worksheet manager name. How can allow him to search for indirect managers as well?
Line managers have View Manager Hierarchy person security profile.
