Global Absence Plan Duration not getting fired

We have created a plan with UOM as "Days". Based on our requirement, included logic for duration in "Global Absence Plan Duration". But the formula is not getting fired. Even if a hardcoded value is returned from formula, duration is not as per formula. If the same logic is attached in "Global Absence Plan Type Duration", formula is getting executed but since we have night shift employees,for them the logic has to be attached "Global Absence Plan Duration" formula. Attached is the screenshot of set up. Please advise.
