How are people working around closing balance input missing in next month

How are you getting the correct movement data when loading closing balance input values in 1 month with a closing balance and then the next month it is 0 but not loading a 0 into data exchange - this results in the default movement not calculating the difference between the previous months movement and the current month due to no balance being loaded. I have had to manually load a movement amount or enter a 0.01 in the closing balance input to make the default work. I am using 2 data load rules - balance sheet with replace and close
