Raw Material Return against Work Order

Hi,

We have released an work order WO1and requested Raw Material from Store. Store has transferred RM from SA to WIP based on the request. After partly completion of Work Order (RM in the WIP is half consumed) it is decided to hold the WO1 and return the material to Store. By doing this same RM can be utilized against some other work order WO2.

Right now we are executing this process through sub inventory Transfer, but it does not have Work Order reference (material is returned against WO1). Do we have any simplified process and trackable work around.
