Suppress data in Gender, Personal Address columns in OTBI based on logged in user Job roles
Summary:
Hi,
Our client considers fields such as Gender, DOB, Personal address as PII data whereas Oracle does not. We are looking for ways to suppress the data in these fields in OTBI reports for the logged-in user based on their job role. One way is to combine add the additional subject area - Security - Roles and Privileges real time and using case statements derive the logic for the column.
Since there are quite a number of reports and we do not want to alter the design by doing cross subject area reporting, is there an alternate way of achieving this using filters etc? Let me know if you have implemented such a solution.
