Person Number Sequence

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

Hello,

I have business requirement, our client is using a legacy system where employee number are saved as 001, 002, 003. They require that the same number be maintained for the existing employee and for new employee number should be generated automatically. I have two questions in this regard.

  1. Can we auto generate Person number as 001,002,003?
  2. What if we load existing person with the same number sequence and then make person number automatic, what will be the next person number generated? Assume that last person loaded is 001.
