Planning based material quantity

Summary:

We have a requirement to have planning based on the inventory item or inventory category quantity. These inventory item or inventory category have been added in the resource breakdown structure however upon adding these as resource on the financial plan we are able to only add the the amount and not the quantity and price.

Is there any additional set required to enable the planned quantity on the project plan?

If the budget is created against inventory item or inventory category quantity will be enable to have budgetary control?
