Unable to create Shipment with user specified Shipment Number

Summary:

Hi Team,


We have a requirement to Create Shipment with user specified Shipment Number (received from external system) and want to do (Pick Release + Pick Confirm) and Ship confirm separately. As ship confirm will be received by the end of the day.


We are unable to provide solution because we are not able to perform Pick Release + Pick Confirm + Ship Confirm all using a shipment number specified by user with shipment lines identified by user.


We tested below API's but faced challenges as mentioned:

1) pickWaves - system generates its own Shipment Number

2) CreateAndConfirmShipment - though it allows us to enter Shipment Number it performs Pick Release+ Pick Confirm + Ship Confirm all together. But we want it separated.
