Replacing Task List with Task Manager

Has anyone used Task manager instead of Task list?

If yes, could you please share some experience what we can do more in task manager, what will loose from task list? any pros and cons.

Just started exploring the task manager and could not find the option to sequence each task(each of the task appear in random order) and also, did find option to execute the business rule from the task manager.

I am still exploring but if someone has already explored about the feasibility to replace the task list with the task manager any the pros and cons. will be great helpful.
