Creating a custom field that selects persons referencing a table

edited Dec 8, 2023 3:52PM in Learning 2 comments

Summary:

Hello all

We are looking into creating a dropdown descriptive flexfield that allows a user to select from the employee list in Oracle. Ideally the user will search via the person name and the results would show the person number and person name.

I have tried to create a flexfield with a Table validation type using PER_PERSONS but could not pull both the person number and person name.

Has anyone encountered the same requirement? Also welcoming ideas that may be different from the solution I have in mind.

Thank you!
