Best practices for managing Project Budget periods carryover amounts

I would like to know if there are options to manage project budget by periods instead of the project as a whole, particularly to control the budget that a project can execute per year.

Several clients have the need to control the budget that a project can execute per year when the project is expected to last for several years.

Example:

There was a 2023 budget authorized a particular project for $1,000,000 from which only $600,000 were consumed during the year.

In 2024 the budget which was authorized is for an additional $1,500,000.

How could we control which amounts correspond to each period or year individually instead of accumulating everything as a whole?
