Is it possible to limit what is in the dropdown on the global search

Summary:

Using the global search in hcm and on the connections page - we run multiple payrolls (some for agencies, pensions etc) - we don't want the employees in these payrolls shown int he dropdown list on the global search. Is there a way to exclude these?
