Trigger on New Hire event in empassignment Atom Feed has unexpected behavior

Summary:

Hi, we need to configure the employee assignment (empassignment) Atom feed to include assignment changes that are triggered by Work relationship cancellation.

In doing so, we encountered something strange when we leave the 'Trigger on New Hire Event'-option unchecked. If left unchecked all "person assignment created events" disappears from the empassignment feed, even those that are not new hires.

We used the 'Steps to enable' from here to configure empassignment atom feed:

Because we observed what we consider unexpected behavior, we did some tests on these three setups:

  1. Profile option for ORA_HRC_ATOM_OTHER_EVENTS_IN_ASG is set to "N" and 'Trigger on New Hire Event' is unchecked
