What and How to prepare HCM to include diversity and community?

We want to prepare our system to be as inclusive and diversed as possible. We're curious what other company or what Oracle is doing/recommend to have in the system that could prepare us to handle scenarios of inclusion and diversity prior to its occurence. OR what we can configure inadvance as readiness? We recently had a case that our HCM system is not configured/not ready for and had to silo it as a manual case.
